The Systemwide Security Committee (SSC) is a subcommittee of the Systemwide Architecture Committee (SAC). SSC recommends actions to SAC regarding security in the California Community Colleges system.

SAC advises the Telecommunications & Technical Advisory Committee (TTAC), which is advisory to the CCC Chancellor's Office.

SAC directed SSC to gather information from the field as a basis for its recommendations via the Security Needs Survey. The survey was conducted via phone calls and an online survey available from www.cisoa.org, the CCC Chief Information Systems Officers Association (CISOA) Web site.
